President Joe Biden and House Speaker Kevin McCarthy will
meet Monday for more talks on defusing the US debt ceiling standoff, both sides
said Sunday.
The two leaders spoke Sunday as Biden flew home from the
Group of Seven summit in Japan and agreed to confer face-to-face on Monday,
said McCarthy in a tweet and the White House in a readout of the conversation.
