Several users are facing a problem where their battery health is dropping fast. This issue is understandably worrisome for those who rely on this phone as their primary device.
Reports of iPhone 14 Pro battery health dropping fast
Many have reported a decline in battery health after
updating their iPhones to iOS 16.4. Some users are also observing this problem
on their newly acquired smartphones.

One user who experienced this issue mentioned that they bought the smartphone when it was first released, and currently, it has only 87 percent battery health remaining.
Another affected user claims that their iPhone 14 Pro, which
is just eight months old, has already suffered an eleven percent decline in
battery health. They further emphasize that they have never encountered such
rapid battery degradation before.
“@AppleSupport iPhone 14 Pro Max bought at launch only has
87% of battery health left. The worst of all my iPhones I had in 11 years as an
iPhone user,” said one user.
“iPhone 14 Pro’s battery health is decreasing really fast.
It’s just over 8 months. Other models have never come down this fast,” another
user wrote.
There are even people who report that this is the most
unsatisfactory iPhone model they have owned in many years.
When comparing Apple’s iPhone 14 Pro to the iPhone 13 Pro,
it is undoubtedly a significant upgrade in terms of camera quality, display
resolution, and performance.
Tips to help preserve the battery life of your iPhone 14 Pro
Max
Optimize Display Settings: Adjust the brightness level of
your screen or enable auto-brightness to conserve battery power. Additionally,
consider reducing the screen timeout duration to minimize unnecessary power
consumption.
Use Wi-Fi When Available: When possible, connect to a Wi-Fi
network instead of relying on cellular data. Wi-Fi generally consumes less
power than cellular data, which helps preserve battery life.
Disable Background App Refresh: Limit or disable the
background refresh feature for apps that don’t require constant updates. This
prevents apps from refreshing in the background and draining battery power.
Manage Push Email: Switch to fetch or manual refresh mode in
your email app to conserve battery life by avoiding constant email checks.
Enable Low Power Mode: Activate Low Power Mode when your
battery is running low or when you need to extend your battery life. This mode
reduces background activity, disables visual effects, and optimizes performance
to conserve power.
Close Unused Apps: Close apps running in the background that
you’re not actively using. Background apps can consume resources and drain the
battery, so regularly swipe them away from the app switcher.
Limit Location Services: Adjust the location settings for
apps to use location services only when necessary. Select “While Using” or “Ask
Next Time” for better control over which apps can access your location.
Reduce Notifications: Minimize the number of push
notifications you receive from apps. This not only reduces interruptions but
also saves battery life by preventing unnecessary background activity.
Update Software: Regularly update your iPhone’s software to
ensure you have the latest optimizations and bug fixes from Apple, which can
help improve battery efficiency.
